Easy Turkey Burgers with Mango Salsa

I don't know about you, but some days you just need a quick dinner and an easy protein source. For me, burgers are just that. Easy, versatile and quick. Recently, I had just come home from work and the gym, and I was STARVING. I needed something quick, and healthy that would help my muscles rebuild after a workout and satiate me. In came these turkey burgers. I'm going to be honest here, I didn't make the salsa - but is easy peasy. Trust me.

For the burgers:

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup chopped cremini mushrooms

1-2 stalks chopped green onion

1/4 cup chopped onion

1 tbsp tamari

1/2 tbsp coconut aminos

Salt, pepper and red chilli flakes

Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix it together thoroughly. Its going to be extremely sticky. Form into patties, and grill on the BBQ. You can always pan fry, and bake in the oven as well. I found the BBQ quicker and easier. You can also add egg or some almond flour into this, to make them form a little better, but I decided less ingredients are always better.

For the salsa:

1 cup finely diced mango

1/4 cup chopped red onion

1/4 cup diced red pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Lime juice to taste

Salt + pepper

Mix it all together, and top your burgers with it. I served it all with a side salad with balsamic glaze and olive oil drizzled on top and this was dinner. I told you it was easy - and it came together in about 25 minutes total with cooking time. Add a bit if you are making the salsa, instead of using a batch you made during meal prep or if like me, you bought it to save time.
